Canes Sign O'Sullivan

The Carolina Hurricanes announced Friday they have come to terms with free-agent forward Patcik O’Sullivan. The deal is a one year, two-way contract, worth $600,000 at the NHL level, and $105,000 should he be sent down to the AHL.

O’Sulivan, 25, has played four years in the NHL splits between Los Angelis and Edmonton. Last season he tallied 11 goals, 23 assists, with a -35 rating in 73 games with the Oilers.

O’Sullivan has 280 games experience notching 54 goals and 149 assists. His plus/minus took a major plunge last year with the Oilers, but still shows NHL compete level.

Carolina is a great place for players trying to prove their worth and bounce back into form. The Canes are going through a major re-tooling up and down the roster, and will likely be making more signings like this.
